"Never be afraid to fail or accept rejection"
Some of the lessons that Steve Jobs taught us was to never be afraid of failure/rejection. Steve Jobs was voted out of the company that he started, yet was able to still find success in starting another company, as well as investing in buying Pixar, which at first was not too profitable considering the amount of money that he invested into before he actually got to see profit. |
"It is good to be a perfectionist"
Steve would often expect, even demand that his employees and associate perform a high level. David Kelley, of IDEO mentioned Steve saying to him that he thought he was good enough to do the job. (of making a new mouse for an Apple computer.) "Don’t expect the customer to tell you what they want, you should already know"
One of Steve’s best strengths was his ability to pick out a market, where most people did not think there was one. He mastered the skill of knowing what the customer wanted and helping the customer. |
